This is a modern statue on the square outside the Palazzo Pitti in Florence, Italy. There is such compassion in the face that I couldn't resist it.

The story goes that when we arrived there by train and everyone got up to leave, I said, 'This isn't the right stop, it says 'Firenze'. I thought we were going to Florence...'

Geography is just one of many challenges life holds for me.
